 Congratulations on your adoption! Please remember, your baby is no longer a play doll. She/He is now an heirloom quality collectible and needs to be handled very gently.
The best way to clean dust from your baby is to use a small, soft, clean paintbrush to lightly brush away dust from crevices and creases. Should she/he require more cleaning, a soft, lightly dampened cloth can be used. The hair can be washed with a mild baby shampoo and gently brushed or combed. (It is normal for a few hairs to come out during brushing. Trust me, your baby will not end up with bald spots!) I use Johnston & Johnston's "No More Tangles" leave-in conditioner to style the hair. Your new baby should be kept away from extreme heat and cold. Being left in a hot car or near a heat source will cause significant damage!
If your baby has a magnetic pacifier or bow, please use caution. The magnets used are very strong and may cause damage to electrical devices, including pacemakers and computers. Please do not allow small children to play with her/him. Your new little one should be handled with the same caution and care as a real newborn.
